“LEARNING FROM NATURE"

What is on your mind if you hear the word “nature”? What does it mean? When we learn things or simply got inspired by the environment or the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features; that is nature. And if you learn it all, you cannot believe how much the benefits that you got. It is countless. From nature, we can have a lot of lesson and advantages by learning them. Nature gives us knowledge on how to deal with natural disaster. We are also knowing the function of nature’s components and utilize it as well as possible. Next we can develop technologies to support human needs.

Mostly peoples in the world got inspiration from nature. In this era, as now we can enjoy so many incredible forms of practically. From the start to avaibility of electricity to transportation technology that allow us travel a long way in short time. Age is constantly evolving, increasingly sophisticated technology, human civilization more advance over time. And maybe on the future human also smarter than before to harnessing energy of nature that can make life that is more practical, Is it true? As we know, energy in our nature are not just crued oils. There are many variation energy that we can find. So, what is wrong if we are harnessing them and using it to support human needs? And yes, we have done that thing to some energy source like sun, wind, water, geothermal, geopressure, etc.

Create some eco friendly technology is the example of inspiration from nature.  One of the newest technology, for example, Electree Bonsai Solar. This technology is inspirated by plant. It has a plant design. Not just that, it can take energy from sunlight which will be the energy to charging batteries and gadgets. If you are searching further, you can find other eco-technology that make you inspired.

Other case, what happen if we do not harnessing those nature resource well? That thing can be the serious problem which could threaten human civilization. But sadly some people, mostly of them, ignore that problem and make it even worse by ruin it.

One of the serious cases that happens in equatorial country is forest fires. Forest fires is now a form of accumulation of human errors which is draining peatlands for years. The effect is only felt once during the long dry season (El Nino) crashing. Once the peat already on fire, it is very difficult to control it. If the peat is still much to dry as it is today (or even more were dried), it seems to me, when the next El Nino would happen fires even more horrible than the one we are experiencing now.

Open your perception of how important knowledge of the ecology and the environment is, which can affect our daily lives. On the other hand, in an effort to respond to incidents like this, we must not only soluble in resentment and recriminations and blame, but actually do not know the context of the real problem. Hope that disaster could soon be over, and the next we can together find the best preventative measures for the future

MY FAVORITE SONG

Rachel Platten
"Fight Song"

Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

And all those things I didn't say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

Losing friends and I'm chasing sleep
Everybody's worried about me
In too deep
Say I'm in too deep (in too deep)
And it's been two years
I miss my home
But there's a fire burning in my bones
Still believe
Yeah, I still believe

And all those things I didn't say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

A lot of fight left in me

Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

This is my fight song (Hey!)
Take back my life song (Hey!)
Prove I'm alright song (Hey!)
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong (I'll be strong)
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

No I've still got a lot of fight left in me

"Fight Song" by Rachel Platten, a pop song about believing in yourself and never giving up. This song explain about her story, for 12 years she struggled to make the music industry. Rachel said: I got to the point where I thought, should I continue to keep going with this dream? But this tiny little voice in my head wouldn't let me give up"."This song was written as a declaration that I am going to believe in myself no matter what, even if that means I'm just doing this on a very small level."

Why I chose this particular song? There is a meaning to it. Lots of song have a good beat but don't always have a meaningful content. On the other hand, it means a lot since a big mass of people are struggling in life. This song inspiring to the them/me she knows what they're going through.

There are so many lesson I got from this song.

We all have dreams. To dream of at least getting a good grade or even dreaming to have a straight A at all subjects. To dream of going to the country's best university after graduating high school or dreaming to get married with someone special. To dream of being a professional at a job or dreaming to have a job with high salary. The point is, no matter what dream we have, it's all for our good. It's all for our better future. To be a better person. To be a successful person.

But the bitter thing is, success does not come easily to your life. You can not just sit nicely and wait for God to give you a miracle and 'poof!' there it goes, all your dreams have come true and now you are a successful person. No! That is not how the way it works. A success doesn't come easily to your life. In fact, in real life a success never come easily to your life.
So the question is, how will you make that success? According to many motivators, here are the things you need to do:

First, know what type of success that you want to make. To be a cumlaude at the university or to have an island in the middle of pacific ocean, for example.
Second, you have to belief in your self, that you can reach that success. Like Yohannes Surya, a famous Indonesian professor, have said, "If you believe you can reach your own dreams, the whole universe will help you".
Third, make plans and steps of how you will reach your success.
Fourth, work hard to reach your success! Nothing can not be eared without an effort.
And last but not least, Pray! Pray to God to have the strenght to reach your dreams. No matter how hard, difficult and painful the condition is, but as long as you have God, you can get trough it.

My Holiday

Hi, guys! I'm back! Holiday is over and I have to go to school again. Last holiday, I feel so different then I was a junior high school student. Don't you ever feeling if you do so many homework and study all day, then holiday is in sight?

On my mind i can sleep very very well, have some snacks like croissant or some baked pastries on my hand with hot chocolate drink and watch some movie streaming online :D. It just feels like being king in a delectable heaven.

And yes, I'm doing that simple plan on my holiday yesterday. But if I do that all day, it feels like a lazy person who idleness. So, I did a little walk to Tegalega with my mom and sister. But nonetheless the first goal was to shop some clothes for my sister (so boring) and eat (if you go there, you have to try baso tahu on the food cart from motorcycle). When the day was Sunday, I went to Car Free Day which take place on Buah Batu street. The place was so crowded with many people who had a vacation and food seller (food anywhere).

On the new year's eve, my family was invited to had some barbecue party at my cousin house. We made the barbecue, grilled the meat, watched some new year's news, and discussed about our school, university, and a plan for a perfect job tomorrow. We laughed because we realize that we went on 2016 and returned to home on 2017, it's like we had been a year at my cousin house. On the way to home we watched some beautiful fireworks. And that was a best new year ever.

School is getting closer. I started to study some lesson like physics and english (especially grammar), and packed some school supplies.

Before school, I've been following some recent activities. On Thursday, 12th of January 2017 there will be a Teachers Day celebration. In SMAN 3 Bandung, that celebration is called Nagabonar. Many students were participated in this big event, so am I. One of my extracurricular is Tiloe's Theater, so maybe you can guess what case I participated. I have been chosen as a player who had a role to be a teacher.

And of course, to show the best results such as a success performance in stage you must practice many times. You can not just sit nicely and wait for God to give you a miracle and 'poof!' there it goes, all your dreams have come true and now you are success. No! That is not how the way it works. We have to work hard to reach our success, and also pray to God to have the strenght to reach your dreams.

And all of that are the lesson I could get from holiday yesterday.

HILLARY DIANE RODHAM CLINTON

Hillary Clinton has served as secretary of state, senator from New York, first lady of the United States, first lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, activist, and volunteer—but the first thing her friends and family will tell you is that she’s never forgotten where she came from or who she’s been fighting for
Hillary grew up in a middle-class home in Park Ridge, a suburb of Chicago. Her dad, Hugh, was a World War II Navy veteran and a small-business owner who designed, printed, and sold drapes. Hillary helped with the family business whenever she could.
Hugh was a rock-ribbed Republican, a pay-as-you-go kind of guy who worked hard and wasted nothing.
Hillary’s mother, Dorothy, had a tough childhood. She was abandoned by her parents as a young child and shipped off to live with relatives who didn’t want to raise her.
By age 14, Dorothy knew the only way she’d get by was to support herself, and she started working as a housekeeper and babysitter while she went to high school. Her mother’s experience inspired Hillary to fight for the needs of children everywhere.
Hillary’s childhood was very different from her mother’s. Her parents built a stable middle-class life. Hillary attended public school and was a Brownie and a Girl Scout. She was raised a Methodist, and her mother taught Sunday school. On a trip to Chicago with her youth ministry, Hillary got to see Martin Luther King Jr. speak—this sparked her lifelong passion for social justice.
After graduating high school, Hillary attended Wellesley College, where she became more involved with social justice activism. By the time she graduated, Hillary had become a prominent student leader—she was elected by her peers to be the first-ever student speaker at Wellesley’s commencement ceremony.
After college, Hillary enrolled in Yale Law School, where she was one of just 27 women in her graduating class. While attending Yale, Hillary began dating one of her classmates, Bill Clinton.
After law school, Hillary didn’t join a big law firm in Washington or New York. Instead, she went to work for the Children’s Defense Fund, going door-to-door in New Bedford, Massachusetts, gathering stories about the lack of schooling for children with disabilities. These testimonials contributed to the passage of historic legislation that required the state to provide quality education for students with disabilities.
This commitment to public service and fighting for others—especially children and families—has stayed with her throughout her life.
After serving as a lawyer for the congressional committee investigating President Nixon, she moved to Arkansas where she taught law and ran legal clinics representing disenfranchised people. She co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, one of the state’s first child advocacy groups.
On October 11, 1975, she married Bill in a small ceremony in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
As first lady of Arkansas, she was a forceful champion for improving educational standards and health care access.
And she and Bill started their own family when their daughter, Chelsea, was born in 1980.
Bill was first elected president in 1992 and re-elected in 1996.
As first lady, Hillary tenaciously led the fight to reform our health care system so that all families would have access to the care they need at affordable prices. When the insurance companies and other special interests defeated that effort, Hillary didn’t give up. She worked with Republicans and Democrats to help create the successful Children’s Health Insurance Program, which provides health coverage to more than 8 million children and has helped cut the uninsured rate for children in half.
In 1995, Hillary led the U.S. delegation to Beijing to attend the U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women, despite being told by some officials not to go. She gave a groundbreaking speech, declaring that “human rights are women’s rights, and women’s rights are human rights once and for all”—inspiring women around the world.
In 2000, Hillary was elected to the U.S. Senate.
After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Hillary pushed the Bush administration to secure $20 billion to rebuild New York and fought to provide health care for responders who were at Ground Zero. Hillary worked across the aisle to expand TRICARE, giving members of the Reserves and National Guard and their families better access to health care.
When Congress wouldn’t do enough for rural areas and small towns, Hillary didn’t back down. She launched an innovative partnership in New York with eBay and local colleges to provide small businesses with tech support, microloans, and training programs to sell their goods online. She helped expand broadband to remote areas of the state, and she launched Farm-to-Fork, an initiative to help New York farmers and producers sell their products to New York’s restaurants, schools, colleges, and universities.
In 2008, Hillary ran for president.
When she came up short, she gave a powerful speech thanking her supporters and threw her support behind then-Senator Barack Obama. She campaigned hard to make sure there was a Democrat in the White House.
And when President Obama asked Hillary to serve as his secretary of state, she put aside their hard-fought campaign and answered the call to public service once again.
After eight years of Bush foreign policy, Hillary was instrumental in the effort to restore America’s standing in the world. Even former Republican Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said she “ran the State Department in the most effective way that I’ve ever seen.”
She built a coalition for tough new sanctions against Iran that brought them to the negotiating table and she brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that ended a war and protected Israel’s security. She was a forceful champion for human rights, internet freedom, and rights and opportunities for women and girls, LGBT people, and young people all around the globe.
In 2014, Hillary took on a new role: grandmother to Chelsea’s daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. And this June, she welcomed her grandson, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky, to the family too. Nothing makes her prouder or happier than spending time with them.

MY UNFORGETABLE MEMORY

Everyone have a lot of memories, including me. Some of memories are come from experience, and some experience will not exist without a dream. When I was elementary school, I always dream to study in SMAN 3 Bandung. On that time I don't know the reason why I chose this school. But I think it is nice to study in the most favorite high school in Bandung. Can you imagine? How glad to be a student in there! It is also a reward if I accept to be a student of SMAN 3 Bandung. So unpredictable dream!

To be able to school in SMAN 3 Bandung, is not an easy thing. You must have a good national examination score. To achieve that target you must study harder, harder, and harder. Honestly, that thing makes me queasy.

Since 9th grade, I feel so much has changed. I became a teenager who had a quiet personality, unlike when I was 7th and 8th grade. Maybe one of the reason because of the national examination, and I want high level of focus in my mind to achieve maximum target.

I'm not join some courses, like other students. Dissapointed? No, I precisely excited and because of that my spirit are burning to prove that I can still get a good target although in such situation. I always believe God will help me. Pray and study harder is the key to get a target.

Time of the national examination! My preparation has been 100%. I was so excited on that day. But, something is bothering me. What to do if some person is not ready for this exam? Cheating. And there's a lot of answer keys are spreading. And you know what, because of that my spirit were more flare up.

Eventually, I'm successful get a good score. Now I could study in SMAN 3 Bandung. It's a dream come true when I can achieve what I want since a long time ago. And I'm sure my mother and my sister are proud of me. Because now, we had the same almamater!

In the middle of the road, we may sometimes think that our dreams can never be achieved. But, Hey! Even Thomas Alva Edison found the light bulb after he had worked 10,000 times before. So remember there is no impossible dream. Only the unbelieving makes a dream impossible to come true.
